Child’s Posechilds-pose-balasana

Child’s Pose, or balasana, is a body opening restful pose that opens virtually the entire body (opens the legs while lengthening the spine.)

There are several variations to balasana, including a wide-legged version or stacking forearms to create a support upon which the forehead can rest. If you have knee sensitivity, consider eliminating this pose and substitute laying on back and hugging legs to body.

Balasana is a great way to connect with your body and breath and assist with the process of drawing your senses inward.

Enjoy your commune with your body in balasana. You deserve it!

Shanti.
