I find napping on the couch to be a luxury that I extend to myself after a long day. Napping can be considered a bit of a treat when you have a busy schedule and don’t have time in your day to get enough sleep. Keeping naps to 20-30 minutes can help to increase alertness and reduce feelings of sluggishness. If you are a habitual napper for long periods (hey, I’m guilty), this can transition the body into the realm of inertia or what I call “lazy yogi pose.” I am a big proponent of “treating oneself” however, as we transition into the new season, it may be a good time to evaluate and reduce the time of your lazyyogiasana pose. <3 |
